Earlier this week I discovered a Dunkin Donuts not too far from my neighborhood. Now I know of two places where I can actually find freshly roasted coffee in my area (the other being Starbucks). As I was waiting for my coffee, I glanced at the various Donuts that were on display. Along with the standard Honey-Dipped, Bostom Creme, and Chocolate glazed, I noticed a few standouts:
1) Old Fashioned Black Bean
2) Old Fashioned Red Bean
4) Olive Donut
5) Garlic Donut
6) Olive Garlic Cruller
and, of course:
7) The Kimchi sticky bun (for those who don't know, Kimchi is spicy fermented cabbage)
Needless to say, I just stuck with coffee

mmmmmm garlic cruller....sounds delicious haha :)...almost as good as that kimchi sticky bun im sure!
ReplyDeleteThe red and black beans are actually pretty good. The coffee just doesn't tastes the same as back home. There is a slight difference depending on the cream and milk they use (and the chemical flavored water just doesn't help).

I didn't know Starbuck's or Dunkin had fresh roasted beans in the US let alone Korea, could have fooled me. oh btw Kenny Jawn, we landed a sweet little apartment in manhattan so when you get back you and your inevitable Korean bride should come visit!
